Well folks, since no one else is saying anything I guess I will - even if it's nothing spectacular. Some new arrivals to the yard as of the last few days would include:
White-throated Sparrows
Eastern Phoebe
Yellow-rumped Warblers
Golden-crowned Kinglets
I had one Nashville Warbler on the 10th.

Yeah there have been loads of sparrows, bluebirds, waxwings, and such all over the yard for the past few days. Best birds thus far came in the form of a large blackbird flock (~500) that was roosting in the tall spruces and dropping in on the corn field adjacent to the house. Among them was one female type YH Blackbird, a dozen Rusties, and at least 3 Brewers Blackbirds. Interestingly zero cowbirds or grackles though...
ReplyDeleteno sparrows here, just both kinglets, Hermit Thrush, Red-bellied Woodpecker (first in months), & Yellow-rumps. Flight calls have thinned out a bunch, but there are some very interesting spectograms resulting from my airspace, inc. possible Clay-colored Sparrow.
