2013 and beyond

It's pretty simple: the most birds seen or heard from one's yard during 2013 will be the "winner". Want in? O.k....then do it despite that.

2013 promises to be a lot less mean but still a carbon-free birding competition, even if slightly less exciting than a MEGA x EPIC hybrid.

SALVAGE BIRD

Best salvage year bird of me, probably all time! I have no Salidago or herbaceous/shrub cover anywhere near my subdivision. Couldn't believe it. And was talking on the phone to Slagheap at the exact moment. Booyah!

  1. Nice score man! I had mine in goldenrod and willow shrubs this am... Nothing like that for you to attract them with...

  2. Lucky dogs! I don't think I've ever had this here earlier than the first week in Oct. Nice to get your first one bathing, Putter.

  4. Beat ya! 11:40 vs. your 12:50...heheheheh. I need all the points I can get right now. That being said, the water feature has definitely made this fall my most productive by far. My previous falls have been very slow for whatever reason.
