2013 and beyond
It's pretty simple: the most birds seen or heard from one's yard during 2013 will be the "winner". Want in? O.k....then do it despite that.
2013 promises to be a lot less mean but still a carbon-free birding competition, even if slightly less exciting than a MEGA x EPIC hybrid.

Hey RAZL,
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty darn cool - thanks!
All you dudes have a special place in my birding heart. Though many of us haven't meet in person it's nice to be brothers in binoculars bounded by the configuration of our yards and love for birds close to home.
It's been a rewarding two years of yard birding with you all.
All the best in 2012 (except for Big Rig - I hope you travel a lot).

I see that 'epic' made it onto this list graph. But I'm shocked 'godwit' did and 'wastelands' didn't. Oh well.
ReplyDeleteThis is sweet, thanks for sharing DAZL.
ReplyDeleteI second Kaplan's comment above. Let the new year begin!
AABO - I'm a bit surprised by the lack of 'wastelands' as well.
I was surprise too that tic-tic didn't make the list - I thought I pounded that home pretty hard.
ReplyDeleteand the series "went lair dream" would have been so much better without the "n".
Godwit = Epic; wordle knows how to pick em.
