2013 and beyond

It's pretty simple: the most birds seen or heard from one's yard during 2013 will be the "winner". Want in? O.k....then do it despite that.

2013 promises to be a lot less mean but still a carbon-free birding competition, even if slightly less exciting than a MEGA x EPIC hybrid.

When it rains... (life yardbird and more)


Oh yeah baby!!! At least 3 Cape Mays just entered the fray- scored photos of all 3! (And you can add to it a bona fide, easy to ID Bay-breasted (first for the yard!) moments later [no pics unfortunately]). This is officially now the greatest day of birding in the history of my yard!

    So NOW you get just a taste of what my yard is like in the spring...See if you can top 17 warbler species in day! Oh, wait, you barely have that many for your life yard list...
