2013 and beyond

It's pretty simple: the most birds seen or heard from one's yard during 2013 will be the "winner". Want in? O.k....then do it despite that.

2013 promises to be a lot less mean but still a carbon-free birding competition, even if slightly less exciting than a MEGA x EPIC hybrid.

Welcome to Sept - Bay-breast

Planned on waking up early, but today was my first opportunity to sleep-in since last Thurs so the pillow won that battle... Got out around 945 and the woods was very quiet but did have warbler tsips high in the canopy. I looped around my woods three times though and every pass I saw a few more things. The warb flock was predominately TEWA (8+), with lone AMRE, BAWW, BTNW, and a Bay-breasted Warbler tagging along with them. I had a glimpse of what may have been a cswa but the look was terrible and I never re-found it.
