2013 and beyond

It's pretty simple: the most birds seen or heard from one's yard during 2013 will be the "winner". Want in? O.k....then do it despite that.

2013 promises to be a lot less mean but still a carbon-free birding competition, even if slightly less exciting than a MEGA x EPIC hybrid.

BTBW + warbler avalanche

For those of us who cannot just walk out and step on Connectictuts (Sean you are now becoming obnoxoius!), I thought I'd post that I just had the flock of all warbler flocks descend on my water feature for their typical 12PM or so midday hiatus. The flock contained no fewer than:

Black-throated Blue (ad male)- 1
Black-throated Green- 2
Nashville- 2-3
Tennessee- 6-8 minimum
Redstart- 2
Black-and-White- 1
