2013 and beyond

It's pretty simple: the most birds seen or heard from one's yard during 2013 will be the "winner". Want in? O.k....then do it despite that.

2013 promises to be a lot less mean but still a carbon-free birding competition, even if slightly less exciting than a MEGA x EPIC hybrid.

moving up in the world

So how is it I'm the first one to get Broad-winged Hawk!? And I gots me Chipping Sparrow before Krazy Kat gets one in the Kaplan Feedlot?

    You guys obviously don't care about what goes on at The Wastelands...I see how it is. I had the first BWHA last week. Stick that in your respective pipes and light up dudes.

    Its because you can't I.D. a raptor to save your life. It was probably a Cooper's hawk.

    I wonder what sort of a position I'd be in where perpetuation of my existence would boil down to picking out a BDub from various raptors in flight...is there some sort of Hawkwatch Death Match that I'm not aware of? Is that what you guys do up in the Yoop?
